Job Description BAE Systems is looking for a DevSecOps -
Deployment Engineer to work on developing the automated pipelines
for cloud environments and support automated build, test and
release deployments. The selected candidate will have an important
role on our team dedicated to supporting our efforts to facilitate
and ensure widespread user adoption of Analytic Modeling
capabilities to enhance the analytic mission.As a DevSecOps -
Deployment Engineer you will have hands on experiences with
developer productivity, cloud native applications, and container
orchestration. You will need to understand micro-service
architecture, container development, orchestration, service
messages and security.Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, write and deliver Infrastructure as Code software to
improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of
the network
- Build automated DevOps pipelines using tools such as GitLab and
Azure DevOps
- Develop jobs for the deployment of various artifacts that
constitute an application on a container-based environment such as
Docker
- Participate in development of advanced CI / CD processes to
support deployments
- Work extensively to deploy applications on Kubernetes clusters
in our on-premises cloud environment
- Automate repetitive tasks to eliminate toil and drive
consistency + repeatability
- Actively participate in incident response and root-cause
analysis, support a blameless post-mortems cultureBecause this role
involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent
work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time
split between working onsite and remotely.#SWSDRequired Education,
Experience, & Skills
- Must hold an active Top Secret/SCI clearance, and be eligible
to obtain a Top Secret/SCI with Poly clearance
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (BS) plus
8+ Years relevant experience
- Experience working in a DevSecOps culture and supporting teams
for Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) of
containerized applications and automate orchestration using
Kubernetes.
- Experience with helm charts.
- Experience with Docker and container orchestration/management
tools
- Understanding of AWS cloud services
- Experience working with appropriate scripting languages and
operating systems software (e.g., PowerShell, Bash)
- Basic understanding of scripting & software development
packages for development of Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with Ansible, Terraform or equivalent configuration
management tools
- Experience with container management and troubleshooting.
- Experience deploying enterprise scale applications to
production using cloud-based infrastructure
- Should have flexibility in approach to finding solutions,
ability to understand and act on the customer needs and priorities,
and ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Strong team building skills that enable collaboration and
coordination within and across teams and functions
- Ability to automate menial tasks
- Excellent oral and written communication skillsPreferred
Education, Experience, & Skills
- CAC card with NGA Core experience
- Active Top Secret/SCI with Poly clearance
- Security+ 8570 certification
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
- AWS or similar Cloud Provider Experience
- Solid understanding of Message Service NATS, Kafka, Redis
- Experience using GitLab or other CI / CD tools
- Strong Linux and Networking background
- Experience with SWIG
- Software development experience with JavaPay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $126610 - $215270Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
