Summary

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the Staff Accountant will support the Controller and Senior Finance Director by carrying out many of the responsibilities of the Finance/Accounting department.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Assists with the monthly close

Maintains the fixed asset and associated depreciation schedule

Prepares general ledger entries, including accruals, deferrals, and reclasses

Performs recurring balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis

Provides backup to A/R and A/P functions

Assists with various reporting requirements

Performs financial analysis and research as necessary

Performs ad-hoc assignments

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in accounting or finance, or a Bachelors degree in business with an emphasis in accounting, is required

1-3 years of relevant experience required

Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required

Must have excellent organizational skills

Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
