Job Title:Assistant Vice President, Portfolio
ManagementLocation:Kearny MesaWhat you'll do:This position will
handle all aspects of portfolio management for the Bank's Small
Business and Consumer loan portfolio, and will assist, mentor, and
train other employees on appropriate servicing responsibilities.
The incumbent will perform all portfolio management tasks for the
BCLC Lending Loan Portfolio, including monitoring the overall
portfolio health, past dues, financial and insurance ticklers,
Periodic Reviews per Bank and BCLC policies and procedures,
reassessment of risk grades, servicing actions, and communication
with BCLC Credit Administration on credits.What we are looking for:
What you will do:
- Ensures proper portfolio management oversight is followed per
BCLC Standard Operating Procedures and Bank policies, including
monitoring and collecting past dues/delinquencies, monitoring the
matured loan report, performing servicing actions, and completing
BCLC required notices.
- Serves as a resource for answering questions and/or a general
sounding board on the BCLC lending programs and post close
issues.
- Completes periodic reviews for each existing BCLC loan which
may include business and personal financial analysis, credit
monitoring, credit analysis, lien perfection, property value
research, industry comparisons, identifying risks and mitigating
factors, and recommending loan grading.
- Performs additional portfolio management responsibilities,
including tickler management and financial statement
collections.
- Works directly with customers and third parties to obtain
information needed to perform annual reviews, modifications,
tickler item collection, post-close documentation exception
management, and complete servicing actions.
- Serve as a resource, offering comprehensive product information
and guidance to both customers and internal partners.
- Collaborate closely with internal referral partners to
effectively originate loans, ensuring a seamless transition from
initial inquiry to application submission to funding. Play a role
in the sales process by actively assisting in the collection and
organization of financial information from clients, to help advance
loans towards the underwriting stage.What you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred.
High school diploma or equivalent and eight (8) years of related
experience required, including a minimum of three (3) years of
experience in BCLC portfolio management.
- Experience in commercial loan documentation preferred.
- Proven underwriting experience with a demonstrated track record
of managing credit risk.
- Experience in business and personal financial spreading and can
articulate the key financial trends, borrower, guarantor, and
global cash flows along with the key non-financial risks of the
credit into a well-organized narrative credit analysis with little
to no guidance necessary.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to
work independently to meet deadlines while managing multiple
projects and processes.
- Familiarity with all federal and state banking regulations
pertaining to lending and consumer compliance, including fair
lending laws.
- Must be a creative and solution-oriented problem
solver/decision maker who is able to solve complex problems while
adhering to prudent credit management practices, credit policies,
regulations, and bank goals.
- Must be flexible and willing to take-on projects and
responsibilities outside the primary scope of position.
- Adopts an anticipatory rather than reactionary approach to
managing credit and process risk.
- Able to obtain and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the
BCLC lending program.Compensation: Salary range for new hires is
generally $95,585.00 - $118,076.00 for San Diego, CA. Salary amount
is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may
be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted
