Job Description Community Interface Services (CIS) is looking to hire reliable Relief Caregiver to offer support for members of our community. We serve adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and assist them in achieving independence through our unique Person-Centered approach. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RELIEF CAREGIVER
This is a unique position, providing daytime, evening, weekend, and/or overnight (sleep hours are fully paid!) support to people with disabilities in Carlsbad and surrounding areas of North County, San Diego. Full-time , part-time , and flexible work schedules are available. This job is perfect for students or a second job!
You will make a difference for others by teaching people with intellectual and developmental disabilities new skills and empowering them to reach their goals:
Connect people with their community, find fun things to do, and meet new people
Planning and preparing healthy meals
Managing medications and other health needs
Providing personal assistance with bathing, dressing, and using the restroom
Be a valuable resource and assist with accessing public benefits and community resources

QUALIFICATIONS
High level of trustworthiness and integrity
A solid work history and references that can attest to your dependability and reliability
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Car in safe working order, vehicle insurance, Valid CA driver's license, and 2 years of driving experience
COVID-19 vaccine (and booster if eligible)
Ability to pass a criminal background check
