Maintains professional standards of conduct and ethics as outlined in department expectations and professional organizations. Provides education to patients, families, caregivers and other health professionals. Assists in the supervision of other staff members, students and volunteers, as appropriate. Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients'/caregivers' rights, as identified within the institution.Major Position Responsibilities: The position characteristics reflect the most important duties, responsibilities and competencies considered necessary to perform the essential functions of the job in a fully competent manner. • Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to patients'/caregivers' rights, as identified within the institution. Qualifications RN Experience:
  • Six (6) months to one (1) year Acute Care or Telemetry experience as a Registered Nurse, required. May consider RN experience in a long-term acute care facility, or subacute facility, in lieu of acute care.Qualifications RN Transitional Experience:
    • One year of full-time experience in an acute care hospital (all departments; with exception to Surgery). Surgery department would consider one-year full-time experience in a surgery center. May consider RN experience in a long-term acute care facility, or subacute facility, in lieu of acute care.
    • Licenses:
    • Current California RN License, required. Certifications:
      • Current BLS required upon hire; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.
      • ACLS within 90 days of hire required; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.
      • NIH Stroke Scale within 90 days of hire, required.Each new hire candidate who is offered employment must pass a physical evaluation, urine drug screen and pre-employment background checks before starting work.*Salary/Hourly Wage range based on experience.
