Our work depends on an IT Project Manager joining our team to support a highly-regarded Department of Defense agency with responsibility for more than a billion dollars of research funding annually.At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an IT Project Manager, you will be trusted to work collaboratively with the Government to manage the development and enhancement of an agency-specific grant application receipt system, as well the operational and service desk functions that support a growing community of stakeholders. In this role, a typical day may include:+ Communicating with Government stakeholders (scientific program managers, IT professionals, and senior leadership) to discuss new requirements, process changes, or operational questions and issues;+ Coordinating with GDIT's program management, scientific and administrative teams on tasks and deliverables dependent on this application receipt system;+ Ensuring adherence to best practices for Agile software development, service desk management and system security;+ Preparation, review or update of task order budgets, schedules, contractual documents, customer invoices;+ Coaching, mentoring, motivating and supervising project team members and sub-contractors;+ Your success will be measured through our collective success in exceeding expectations as evidenced by established quality metrics and customer feedback.**WHAT YOU'LL NEED:**+ Bachelor's degree in computer science or related areas;+ 5 or more years of project management experience;+ Demonstrated experience with an Agile software development methodology;+ The ability to prioritize among competing tasks in a fast-paced, highly-visible role;+ Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance**Preferred qualifications** :+ Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)+ Knowledge or experience in the grants management domain+ Experience with the Department of Defense Risk Management Framework**WHAT GDIT CAN OFFER YOU:**+ Full-flex work week+ 401K with company match+ Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career+ Collaborative teams of highly motivated critical thinkers and innovators+ Ability to make a real impact on the world around you+ $5,000 Sign On Bonus for eligible applicantsNot sure this job's the one for you?
