A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Principal Embedded Software Engineer (Scrum Master). Position Type: Full-Time Contract Duration: 12 months Location: Northridge, CA As a Principal Embedded Software Engineer (Scrum Master), you will:Organize and facilitate all Scrum events, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives. Identify and address any obstacles that are hindering the team's progress. Work proactively to remove these impediments, ensuring that the team can focus on their tasks without unnecessary distractions. Promote the adoption of best practices in software development, including code reviews, test-driven development (TDD), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). Contribute individually with embedded software development in C++ for a missile system. Promote a collaborative environment between different disciplines and organizations resulting in teams that can effectively solve problems as the arise and proactively prevent things from becoming issues. Required Skills:Previous experience working as a Scrum Master in a technical environment. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices, including Scrum or Kanban Proficiency in using Jira for tracking tickets, helping manage the product backlog, and facilitating Agile workflows. Proven ability to facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Experience in embedded real-time software development, with a focus on embedded C++ and VxWorks. Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 0 years of related engineering experience.
