Job Description:

We are a lighting manufacture seeking a CNC Machinist. The CNC machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC and manual machine tools, as well as fabricating other items according to company scheduling and deadlines. This position supports the development and new designs and has exposure to parts data management, process improvement, and quality control aspects of the manufacturing process for our standard product line. Qualified candidates must have proven experience performing the setup and operation of CNC mill and lathe. Responsibilities: Sets up and operates CNC machine tools. Maintains specifications by observing machining and fabrication processes, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting controls. Conducts equipment maintenance as needed. Monitors inventory of cutting tools and other supplies. Takes initiative to drive results and continuously improves current processes. Demonstrates the ability to take initiative and work independently. Thoroughly and accurately completes work orders and related paperwork. Meets deadlines by coordinating with team. Performs duties in compliance with the company's safety policies and practices. Provides feedback and communicates regarding workload, quality issues, and efficiency issues. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Control Fanuc IS-T, Fanuc 10M Strong organizational, time management, decision making and execution skills. Strong problem solving and action planning skills Oral and written communication skills Self-motivated, results and action oriented Ability to read mechanical drawings and interpret assembly drawings Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Education: High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
