Company OverviewBrewer's Supply Group (BSG), a subsidiary of Rahr Corporation, supports the craft beer, wine and distilling industries as a one-stop shop for industry related supplies and ingredients. Rahr Corporation (Rahr) is a family-owned global leader in the production and distribution of barley malt and related brewing supplies in operation since 1847.Job SummaryIn support of long-term growth and sustainability, the Sales Development Coordinator will create long term value for BSG by offering support to the commercial Sales, Marketing and Customer Service departments. The Sales Development Coordinator will actively establish new accounts while identifying current customers who are underutilizing BSG's products and services. The Sales Development Coordinator will leverage BSG's unique quality and service to secure malt and hop contracts, assist with local events and perform other sales activities as requested. The Sales Development Coordinator will work with BSG Sales and Marketing to establish and maintain a current portfolio of relevant marketing collateral.Job Requirements:ResponsibilitiesROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Manage select customer accounts within the territory, actively pursuing opportunities to sell malt, hops and brewing ingredients.* Drive sales within the defined product categories of the BSG commercial quarterly sales cycle priorities.* Assist with establishing and maintaining hop contracts. Contact customers who have older hop contracts stored in BSG warehouses to facilitate the shipment of hops in a timely manner. * Utilize industry media - newsletters, magazines, blogs, etc. to identify and contact new customers to establish a positive introduction to BSG with the ultimate goal of cultivating new business.* Maintain a standardized collection of information (both digital and physical) to present to potential customers.* Gather pertinent industry and competitive data to keep the company informed of new sales opportunities and competition within the company's market* Service select existing accounts and work with the sales force to ensure those accounts are maintained and positioned for growth.* Keep informed and report on any changes in competitors' selling policies, customer acquisition efforts, services and prices offered.* Maintain potential customer data base. Track customer contact efforts, new account acquisition and current customer account growth.* Complete the Customer Onboarding process for new BSG customers, ensuring BSG remains top of mind for breweries and distilleries in development* Identify and participate in industry events, trade shows, beer festivals and additional venues where a positive impact could be made with customer acquisition and or customer retention.* Participate in trade shows in a support role. Assist with material transportation, set-up and tear down. Work the booth and handle logistics so that the local sales Manager can optimize time with current customers that are in attendance.* Provide customers with relevant and consistent samples of product that may be underutilized.* Inform CSR team of sales efforts and new products. Provide educational information and opportunities to CSRs in order to supplement and support sales goals.* Portray a positive professional appearance and serve as a role model for all personnel through the enthusiastic performance of all duties and doing whatever it takes to get the job done.* Closely monitor industry expansion and/or contraction. Report on emerging business possibilities.* Participate in the development of effective sales and marketing tools. Maintain and organize the materials and ensure that they easily accessible for sales and CSR functions.* Ensure an economic balance exists between the efforts to generate new customers, and increased sales.* Assist with collecting payment from customers as assigned.* Submit accurate expense reports in a timely manner.* Perform all other duties as may be assigned by the President, Vice President of Sales, Sales Developent Supervisor, or Sales Support Service Manager.* Assist with collecting customer forecasts as needed.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions in accordance with applicable laws.* Education/Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Business or a relevant discipline from an accredited college or university is preferred but sales or relevant experience would offset the lack of a degree.* Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience with the types of products offered and typical business to business operations.* Skills/Knowledge:--Must be able to adapt to a changing environment and be able to communicate with all levels of the company. Moreover, the Sales Development Coordinator will try to adapt the environment to benefit BSG. Must be able to perceive the needs of potential customers through conversational interaction and assist with translating those needs into reality. Must plan and execute strategic sales efforts to support sales and customer service teams and an overall grasp on future potential for BSG CraftBrewing's markets. Must have knowledge and understanding of company policies and procedures, marketing techniques, market trends, competitive environment, pricing systems and profit objectives.* Must be prudent, ethical, credible and use good judgment. Must be goal-oriented, competitive and committed to the company and its services and have the ability to meet any type of person with confidence. Must be a team player with integrity and concern for the quality of BSG CraftBrewing services and staff members. The Sales Development Coordinator also act as an advocate and guide for new customers to assist them with BSG procedures.* Strength: Must be able to help move and build presentation materials for trade shows, festivals and events. Ability to lift and move at least 55lbs is encouraged.* Working Conditions:--This position will require travel to events where customer contacts can be made. Approximately four to six weeks per year out of town weekday travel is expected.* Eight (8) to ten (10) hour workdays, 5 per week with occasional weekend work, as well as, early and/or late weekday meetings with potential customers are required as needed.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:* Strong administrative, clerical, and computing skills and demonstrate attention to detail in order to effectively handle customer requests and clearly communicate instructions to other departments.* Outstanding customer service skills to effectively deal with customers' inquiries or complaints and a willingness to approach potentially disinterested and/or disgruntled customers in an effort to establish or broaden the current business relationship.* Thorough understanding of BSG's product portfolio and a broad view of the potential needs of customers in BSG's targeted industries.* Self-motived with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with support personnel.* Dynamic position that requires an individual who is competitive, goal orientated and committed to the success of the company.Additional InformationRahr Corp. is committed to the provision of equal opportunity employment for all qualified persons in all job classifications in recruitment, selection and promotion without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, military status, veteran status or any other protected status.
