This position is responsible for processing direct order
requisitions and selected non-stock orders. Requisitions must be
reviewed for all procedurally required approvals prior to purchase
order composition and release. The incumbent is responsible to
recognize and prioritize the requirements of requisitions received
and to commit purchase orders within the authority to ensure
availability of equipment, supplies and services according to the
requirements of the organization, and in accordance with
appropriate procedures. May work in Supply Chain, Pharmacy, Lab or
Major Position Responsibilities:

* Maintains a safe, clean working environment, including unit based
safety and infection control requirements.
* Process direct order requisitions or non-stock orders to provide
for the timely availability of equipment, supplies, items,
medication, repairs, and non-personnel services on a routine and

completion of selected non-personnel services through the accurate

* Expedite purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.

* Minimum of Five (5) years buyer experience, required, with a
preference in healthcare, pharmacy, or lab procurement.
* May consider Bachelor's degree or higher with major in business,
management, or related field in lieu of experience.

* Bachelor's degree, preferred.
