Job Description:

The North County Engagement Officer serves on the Development Team as the key leader in developing a movement to increase the Mission's presence and impact in Oceanside. This position will support in the Mission's expansion plans by identifying new fundraising opportunities, cultivating North County partnerships and developing funding for the Oceanside Navigation Center. The Engagement Officer will work to engage the North County community in the Mission's vision and efforts to change the state of homelessness in San Diego. By providing on-site leadership, cultivating donors, hosting events and representing the Mission throughout the community, the North County Engagement Officer will help to build and establish the Oceanside Navigation Center and the Rescue Mission's North County presence. This position is also a key spiritual leader of the Development Team and will support teammates on a coaching and pastoral level.To Serve as a Member of the Development Team

• Provide direction and focus in building Donor Development and Community Engagement Strategies.
• Provide encouragement the North County Program Staff, contributing to a healthy culture and work environment
• Act as the on-site Development representative for the Oceanside Navigation center
• Partner with the Development Team on planning, organizing and executing annual fundraising plans
• Meet regularly with fellow Donor Officers and the Director of Donor Relations to collaborate effectivelyTo Build a Movement of Support around the Oceanside Navigation Center
  • Create ideas and generate opportunities to share the Mission message in North County, engage the community and grow our impact
  • Execute planning to increase our presence and impact in the North County Community
  • Develop sustainable funding for the first Mission Navigation Center
  • Build relationships with community leaders, businesses, organizations
  • Support PR opportunities that showcase the Mission's work and expansion efforts
  • Communicate the Mission story with donors, media, and partners with excellence
  • Host Program Tours to current or prospective Donors or partnersTo Lead the North County Donor Engagement and Cultivation efforts
    • Assist the President and fellow Donor Relations Officers in cultivating current and prospective Major Donors, located in the North County Area
    • Manage and build a caseload of 100-125 current major donors with a focus on engaging, retaining, and upgrading Mission partners
    • Prospect and acquire 50 new Mission partners and donors
    • Increase the connection and engagement levels of assigned donors
    • Work with the Development Manager to manage donor data including data health, donor prospecting, wealth screening, and MIC management.
    • Reach or exceed an annual giving goal for the assigned caseloadTo Plan and Execute Donor, Volunteer and Partner Events
      • Create events and experiences to connect with your assigned Major Donors
      • Host events that showcase the new facility to the local community
      • Support Church Partnerships, Corporate and Volunteer Opportunities as needed
      • Provide leadership and support to on-site donor engagement or volunteer events
      • Host purposeful, engaging events to deepen donor's connection to the MissionTo Represent our Mission, Vision and Values
        • Protect the Mission, Pursue the Vision and Reflect the Values of the SDRM.
        • Help build the TEAM and grow the capacity and impact of the SDRM.
