Job Description:

Under general supervision, provides functional direction to assigned staff; maintains prescribed standards of cleanliness for assigned areas using germicidal solutions following prescribed procedures. Under supervision of the Management of Environmental Services performs assigned duties & tasks in accordance w/ organizational rules, policies, & procedures.

Essential Functions:
- Upholds KP's Policies & Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities & applicable state, federal & local laws
- Provides functional direction to assigned staff; ensures that established work procedures & departmental policies are maintained; responds to work related problems
- Assists supervisor w/ shift assignments, schedule changes, & other related personnel functions as required
- Under indirect supervision, inservices & trains staff members as appropriate
- Assists supervisor w/ various duties to include input to operational procedures, gathering statistics, & providing input in performance evaluations
- May reassign personnel temporarily to ensure departmental standards are maintained
- Controls supplies, equipment, & security of assigned spaces
- Ensures that assigned areas are maintained in a clean & safe condition & that quality assurance checks are routinely submitted
- Coordinates housekeeping functions w/ nursing department staff members
