Position Summary:
The Drywaller/Painter is responsible for installing, repairing and maintaining all aspects of drywall and painting. In addition, perform other maintenance duties to repair and keep the building elements and systems running.
Major Position Responsibilities:
The position characteristics reflect the most important duties, responsibilities and competencies considered necessary to perform the essential functions of the job in a fully competent manner. + Performs mud and tape applications, cutting, measuring and installing drywall and components to metal stud framing.
+ Experience with us of construction hand and power tools.
+ Performs quality work in a safe manner.
+ Erects scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level.
+ Provides a paint ready finish to existing and new applications.
+ Paint different building surfaces and equipment throughout the hospital.
+ Maintain standards and comprehensive inventory of paints.
+ Perform other maintenance throughout the hospital to include but not be limited to plumbing, electrical, general clean-up, etc.
+ Safety and Infection Control Responsibilities
+ Responsible to maintain a safe and clean work environment, including unit based specific safety and infection control requirements.
Qualifications:
+ Must be able to work with minimal supervision, required.
+ Knowledge of safety procedures while performing assembly tasks, required.
+ Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools to assemble either building materials or millwork products, required.
+ Excellent problem solving and decision making skills, required.
+ Knowledge of and ability to perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs and maintenance, required.
Experience:
Minimum of three (3) years of recent experience working with drywall and paint required.
Three (3) years Hospital OSHPD and California Title 24 or FGI experience, preferred.
Education:
+ High School Diploma or GED required
Licenses:
+ California driver license, required
Certification:
+ Journeyman Carpenter certification, preferred
Each new hire candidate who is offered employment must pass a physical evaluation, urine drug screen and pre-employment background checks before starting work.
*Salary/Hourly Wage range based on experience.
