Job Summary:

The EDI Analyst is responsible for managing the electronic exchange of business documents between different trading partners. This role involves analyzing, developing, implementing, maintaining, monitoring electronic data interchange solutions to ensure seamless communication and transaction processing. The EDI Analyst collaborates with internal teams, trading partners, and vendors to identify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and optimize EDI processes to meet business objectives.
Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of EDI systems and services, ensuring seamless and accurate exchange of data.
  • Support the EDI to SAP translation of Sales Orders, order response, billing, and EDI warehouse shipping transactions.
  • Communicate and coordinate EDI efforts required from analysis. Assist in the development of functional specifications.
  • Analyze business/customer needs to build EDI requirements for new and updated Supply Chain processes.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, IT teams, trading partners, and external vendors to onboard new partners and support existing EDI integrations.
  • Analyze all EDI transaction reports, ensuring the integrity of the associated transactions by checking audit trails, investigating failures, and resolving issues to support the business process.
  • Develop and maintain EDI documentation, including trading partner agreements, technical specifications, and process workflows.
  • Stay updated on EDI standards, technologies, and best practices to recommend improvements and optimizations.
  • Provide training and support to end-users and internal teams on EDI processes, tools, and technologies.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects related to EDI enhancements, system upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Serve as an EDI Resource/Representative towards all business activities and knowledge for internal and external networking links
  • Recognize and resolve, where possible, EDI related problems with communication between trading partners.
  • Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • N/A Professional Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
      • 3+ years experience with the Order-to-Cash & warehouse lifecycle business processes, preferably within CPG industry
      • 3+ years experience working with EDI files, SAP Applications (SD, MM, FI Modules a plus) and Microsoft Windows & Microsoft Office Suite of Applications - Excel, Word, Power Point)
      • In-depth knowledge of electronic data interchange concepts, standards, and protocols.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business processes, identify root causes of issues, and develop effective solutions.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
      • Experience working in CPG preferred.

        Work is performed inside a temperature-controlled office building with open floor plan. This job operates in a professional office environment with a business casual dress code. This role will routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
