As a Real Estate Mortgage Sales Manager, you will be responsible
for producing and leading a mortgage sales team toward achieving
mortgage sales goals. Integral factors of success for this position

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Provides leadership daily in accordance with the mission, vision,
strategy and core values of the credit union.
Manages the daily business needs of the mortgage sales team,
including management and growth of the Home Loan Consultants to
achieve production goals, growth and profitability.
Maintaining a pipeline of retail mortgage loans.
Consistent with the credit union's overall strategic plan,
develops, manages and tracks the mortgage sales team production,
budget, goals and objectives.
Create, manage and execute strategic and tactical initiatives
necessary to achieve mortgage goals.
Lead the development of sales routines, incentives and processes to
facilitate the development of enduring relationships with clients,
prospects and internal partners.
Communicating business goals, objectives and company performance
results to team.
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual goals.
Maintaining personal licensing and registration with National
Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) under the terms of the S.A.F.E.
Act of 2008.
Meet and exceed service standards consistent with company policies
Work with Operations leadership to ensure that workflow,
communication and service level accountability are mutually agreed
upon, measured and managed.
Work with Secondary Marketing to ensure that consistent and open
communication on pricing/margin management strategy leads to
production volume in line with operational capacity.
Continuously and proactively seek competitive intelligence
regarding products, pricing and other critical market related tools
Collaborate cross-departmentally on corporate initiatives that
affect all areas of the credit union.
Understanding and abiding by Conforming, and VA guidelines and
Recruiting, interviewing and hiring the Home Loan Consultants.
Develop and maintain a high degree of visibility for Frontwave
Credit Union in the marketplace by actively participating in local
and state mortgage banking, realtor, builder trade associations and
Maintaining a thorough understanding of mortgage industry
regulations, trends and current issues.
Knowledgeable of all compliance and regulatory requirements and
ensures they are adhered to according to federal and state laws and
regulations as well as company guidelines.
Promoting an effective sales environment through sales training,
individual and team coaching and sales contests.
Understand real estate appraisals, title reports, and real estate
Inform prospective and existing membership of loan programs, rates,
policies, underwriting requirements, and loan procedures.
Analyze detailed financial and credit data, matching customer needs
with an appropriate loan program and level of risk.
Receive/review borrower applications; quote the rate and points,
and complete follow-up activities throughout the complete loan
Participates in the annual review process, including writing,
delivering and discussing reviews with Dream Makers.
Perform miscellaneous duties as needed and required.
Education and /or Experience
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum ten (10) years of mortgage processing and originations
experience with a minimum five (5) years mortgage industry
Experience with conforming, VA and nonconforming loans in areas of
sales, credit and underwriting.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Knowledge of mortgage loan products, terminology, compliances and
regulations and exposure to loan processing, underwriting, closing
and funding of mortgage loans.
Must have basic computer skills.
Strong background and working knowledge of real estate
transactions, lending procedures and loan servicing required.
Knowledge of regulations and compliances in real estate lending and
FNMA/Secondary Market guidelines.
Spanish Speaking Is Preferred, But Not Required.
VA SAR desired, but not required.
If acting as a Mortgage Loan Originator, (MLO), will be required to
be registered in the National Mortgage Licensing Registry.
Responsible for initial registration in NMLS database and for
maintaining personal information. Data must be accurate and
